The Pantiles News

Welcome to The Pantiles News

The Pantiles News is a small newsagent situated at the lower end of the Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. The Pantiles News has been around for many years and has been under new ownership since the end of June 2011.

The shop sells a wide range of magazines and newspapers, stationery, confectionery and curios.  The Pantiles News is well-known for its delightful range of greeting cards. In addition, the Pantiles News is one of the last surviving tobacconists in the area and sells a wide range of pipe and rolling tobacco, pipes and accessories.

The Pantiles News offers  a friendly reliable Newspaper delivery service in the area.
The Pantiles News is privileged to be part of the Pantiles community – a very special part of Tunbridge Wells which still has ‘a heart’, a place where people still greet each other.

From the shop, it is very relaxing to walk up along the Georgian colonnade to the famous chalybeate spring, the well that gave the town its name.  The paving slabs outside the shop and along the colonnade are one-inch thick square tiles made from heavy wealden clay, shaped in a wooden pan before firing hence the name ‘pantiles’.

Come and pay us a visit at The Pantiles News - after visiting our shop, you can wander along the Pantiles where there are plenty of coffee shops to sit and enjoy your paper or write your postcards.
